Harrisburg Telugu Association (HTA) of Pennsylvania is a non-profit cultural organization representing the Telugu speaking people from the of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Southern India, residing in the greater Harrisburg.
HTA organizes social and cultural activities to facilitate Telugu speaking people to socially interact with their friends, and nurture interest in it's rich culture among adults, as well as youth born and growing in U.S
Harrisburg Telugu Association (HTA) of Pennsylvania is a non-profit cultural organization representing the Telugu speaking people from the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Southern India, residing in the greater Harrisburg of Pennsylvania. Initially, a small group of enthusiastic Telugu speaking people gathered on July 15 2002, to form HTA and never looked back since then. The strength of the Association is growing immensely with over 500 members/families as registered members.
The purpose of the Organization is to propagate, perpetuate, preserve and maintain Telugu language, heritage, culture, music, dance and drama among the Telugu speaking people and anyone who is interested in Telugu culture.
HTA organizes social and cultural activities to facilitate Telugu speaking people to socially interact with their friends, and nurture interest in it's rich culture among adults, as well as youth born and growing in U.S . HTA celebrates various Telugu festivals annually and encourages participation by members and well wishers at all these events.
HTA organizes celebrations for festivals every year namely: Sankranti, Ugadi, Vinayaka Chaturthi, Deepavali apart from the annual summer picnic and not to forget the Thyagaraja Aaradhana, Annamacharya Aaradhana to commemorate the great saints of our Indian Classical Music.
